Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Asili 2011 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard Nebbiolo red wine from the Barbaresco appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. A much-admired Barbaresco co-operative, Produttori del Barbaresco was founded in 1958 by a group of 19 winegrowers . The co-op now boasts 50 members who cultivate about 100 hectares of vineyards. Production focuses on traditional winemaking practices. The wines are fermented in large oak casks and undergo extended maceration. Ageing takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for an extended period. On the 2011 Barbaresco Riserva Asili. "Aromas of lavender, blackberry and and slate follow through to a medium body, ultra-fine tannins and a pretty, berry, dark chocolate and spice undertone. Superb finesse and class."
