Orlando Abrigo Barbaresco Meruzzano 2019 is a medium- to full-bodied Nebbiolo red wine from the Barbaresco appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. The Meruzzano MGA (which stands for `menzioni geografiche aggiuntive`, or `supplementary geographical indication` is located at 350400meters elevation on south and south west-facing slopes in Treiso. Soils here are of calcareous marl, lending the Nebbiolo wines produced from them a fine thread of minerality. "The Orlando Abrigo 2019 Barbaresco Meruzzano shows a delicate embroidery of rose, dark berry, tar and crushed stone. This wine is delicate and fine in texture with an almost weightless quality that ultimately gives more prominence to those elegant aromas." Wine Advocate, 2021
