Founded in 1821, Barbadillo is the largest producer in Sanlucar de Barrameda and is still family owned and operated. VORS, or ‘Very Old Rare Sherry’, denotes exceptionally rare wines that are over 30 years of age and the Principe de Amontillado originates from some of Barbadillo’s oldest criaderas of Manzanilla. Deep amber in colour, the nose is incredibly intense yet wonderfully elegant, redolent of preserved citrus, dried apricot, sandalwood and grilled nuts. The palate is expressive and deep, with an incredibly long, saline-tinged finish, making this is the perfect accompaniment to dried fruit, nuts and smoked foods.
