Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Grandi Annate 1999 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Sangiovese grapes in the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano appellation of southeast Tuscany. Avignonesi is one of the leading wine producers in Tuscany. The Grandi Annate riserva is only produced in exceptional years from Avignonesi’s best vineyard plots and is aged for 18 months in a combination of 500l barrels and large oak ‘botti’. "Big and full on the nose, with an unusual floral (iris and violets) and licoricey character, the 1999 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva is deep, dense, and concentrated in flavour, long and intense on the finish."
