Founded by the Chkhaidze brothers in 1998, Askaneli covers approximately 422 hectares of vineyards, with winemaking facilities in Kakheti and Tbilisi. The name ‘Askaneli’ is associated with the small village of Askana, where the old cellar, built by the family`s ancestor, Antimoz Chkhaidze, still stands. This is a dry, light white wine, made from the late-budding Kisi grape variety. Kisi wines are known for their complex aromas and flavours. They often exhibit notes of ripe stone fruits, honey, dried herbs, and a touch of spice.
