Based in Melgaço, Anselmo Mendes is one of the leading winemakers in Portugal. Since producing his first Vinho Verde in 1998, Anselmo expanded his remit to other regions such as Dão, Beira Interior and Azores, where ‘Magma’ comes from. Made from 100% Verdelho, the wine spends 5 months ageing on fine lees before bottling. The result is a pure and fresh white wine, with notes of sea salt and minerality.
