Situated in the eastern hills of Verona, Villa Mattielli is a family-owned wine producer covering thirty hectares of vineyards, some of which have been established since the early 1900s. These vineyards benefit from a unique terroir characterized by a mild climate and excellent sun exposure. The estate is currently under the stewardship of fourth-generation winemaker Roberta, with support from her husband Giacomo and her sister Valeria. The 2008 Amarone della Valpolicella presents an aromatic profile of dried fruits, tobacco, spice nuances, and the essence of wild berry liqueur. The palate is distinguished by its complexity, full-bodied nature, and harmonious balance, featuring a delightful mineral undertone, as well as notes of prunes and gentle tannins.
