Bertani Amarone Classico 1968 is a fully mature appassimento red wine produced in the Amarone della Valpolicella appellation of Veneto, northern Italy. In 1850, Gaetano Bertani is one of the historic producers and true pioneers of Valpolicella wines. He learned his vineyard and cellar techniques from Jules Guyot in Burgundy, returning to Italy to establish his eponymous winery with his brother, Giovan Battista, in 1857. Producer note. "At the nose flavours of medlar, dry figs and truffle; it has great complexity and aromatic persistence. The mouth is very mature, with sweet tannins, full and elegant, with clean lasting taste."
