Founded in 2002, Bodegas Alto Moncayo is a partnership between Andalucia producer Jorge Ordóñez, Australian winemaker Chris Ringland and Bodegas Borsao. The wines are produced exclusively from Garnacha, sourced from bush vine vineyards in Pozuelo, Ambel and Tabuenca. The 2009 vintage is fully integrated now, revealing polished tannins and notes of prunes, figs, apricot, hints of menthol and charred earth.
