The story goes that in 1790 that Doctor Zwack, Royal Physician to the Imperial Court, offered the Habsburg monarch a sip of Unicum as a remedy for indigestion. Unicum is now an extremely popular Hungarian beverage brand, and this bitter liqueur is made from a blend of more than 40 carefully selected herbs and spices, and aged in oak barrels. A distinctive, bitter-sweet taste.
