Yula represents a limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky by Douglas Laing, featuring peated malts from Islay and the Islands, each aged for a minimum of 20 years. It draws its name from the Norse goddess Yula, whose legend involves a quest for a long-lost love while carrying an apron filled with stones. As she ventured, the stones tumbled from her apron, shaping islands. The final stone`s descent gave rise to Islay, serving as Yula`s final resting place. This marks the inaugural release in a trilogy from Douglas Laing, with a production of 900 bottles for this specific edition.
