Founded by Shane Baker and Pat Heist in 2012, they focus on producing high-quality, small-batch bourbon and rye whiskeys using traditional methods and locally sourced grains. The Wilderness Trail Family Reserve Rye features a mash bill with a high percentage of rye, usually around 56%, combined with corn and malted barley. The whiskey is aged in new charred oak barrels, which contribute to its rich and complex flavour profile.
