Domaine Huet in Vouvray is undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest producers of Chenin Blanc and is a standard bearer for the quality and potential longevity of the white wines from the Loire Valley. Originally bottled as a sweet, lightly fizzy wine, the bubbles may have dissipated but this is still an unbelievably complex and intriguing wine from one of the greatest vintages for the region. Expressive and incredibly long, it offers delightful flavours of caramelised orchard fruits, citrus marmalade, honey, coffee beans and salted butter.
