de Montille Vosne-Romanée Malconsorts Christiane 2008 is a medium- to full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Malconsorts in the Vosne-Romanée appellation of the Côte de Nuits. With a family heritage that can be traced back to the 17th century, Domaine de Montille is renowned as one of the finest producers in Burgundy. The estate has been practising organic farming since 1995 and biodynamic since 2005. Named after Etienne and Alix de Montille’s mother, this sought-after cuvée is made from a 0.49ha holding in Malconsorts, bordering the Vosne Grand Cru of La Tâche. On the 2008. "Here the nose is spicier still with copious Vosne-style spice, dried rose petal, hoisin and soy nuances, both of which continue onto the supple and round medium weight flavours that are graceful, classy and long, all wrapped in a less obviously powerful finish where there is even better length.
