A rare piece of Burgundian history and amongst some of the last bottles from Domaine René Engel in Vosne-Romanée. Run by Rene`s grandson Philippe since 1981, who tragically passed away in 2005. The domaine then passed to Château Latour’s owner François Pinault and was renamed `Domaine de Eugénie`. Serving up a mature profile of bramble and herbs, with sous bois, truffled complexity.
