A rare piece of Burgundian history, this is among the last bottles from Domaine René Engel in Vosne-Romanée. The estate was run by René’s grandson, Philippe, from 1981 until his tragic passing in 2005. It was then acquired by Château Latour’s owner, François Pinault, and renamed Domaine d’Eugénie. This vintage is a testament to Engel’s legacy, displaying profound depth with dark cherry, wild berry, and earthy spice. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity create a refined, lingering finish, an exceptional and historic Burgundy.
