With a family history that tracks back to the French Revolution, Jean Grivot is considered one of the top and most consistent names in Vosne-Romanée. The domaine is known for its intense, perfumed Pinot Noirs, with bright red fruit at their core. This mature 1983 bottling hails from the Premier Cru of Les Beaumonts (sometimes rendered as Beaux Monts), which lies above Echézeaux Grand Cru, with a small section crossing the boundary into Echézeaux itself.
