Tenuta di Ghizzano Veneroso 2018 is a full-bodied blended red wine from the Tuscany region of central Italy. Tenuta di Ghizzano is a family estate based round a hilltop village near Pisa in Tuscany. Veneroso is a Sangiovese based wine with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon which lends a gloriously Napa styled texture to the wine without overpowering the quintessential expression of Tuscan Sangiovese in the wine. 16 months in 500L used French oak casks add spicy notes and soften the tannins. Sweet pipe tobacco, cedar, leather, dried herbs and menthol lend notable aromatic complexity to this 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon blend.
