Founded in 1639 in the village of Riquewihr, the Hugel family winery is one of the most prestigious in the Alsace region. Vendage Tardive denotes a wine that is made from late-harvested grapes with noble rot. The 2008 Pinot Gris was produced from a selection of the finest plots of the Hugel estate in the Sporen Grand Cru and Pflostig vineyards. Rich, unctuous and juicy, this is an excellent wine to serve alongside blue cheeses or fruit tarts.
