Dark mahogany in the glass, the nose is mature and intense - raisins, toasted treacle and muscovado sugar. A hint of smoke. The palate opens with dark chocolate, treacle toffee and cinnamon rolls before a delightful note of stewed sultanas enters towards the finish. This is a velvety and indulgent dram. A subtle smokehouse flavour emerges upon further investigation.
