Justin Willett founded Tyler Winery in 2005 with a desire to focus exclusively on high-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from exceptional vineyards sites throughout the Santa Rita Hills and Santa Maria Valley. The 2018 Chardonnay was sourced from the iconic Bien Nacido, Dierberg, La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict Vineyards and is the entry point to the range. It was fermented in mostly old, neutral oak with no battonage before undergoing full malolactic fermentation and maturation in ‘sur lie’ for 11 months in French oak, of which 15% was new.
