Trinchero Family Estates is a family-owned winery with a rich history and deep roots in Napa Valley. Founded in 1948 by Italian immigrants Mario and Mary Trinchero, the winery has since grown to become a leading producer in the region. The 1997 Founder`s Estate Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a mature nose of blackcurrants, dried cherries and leather, with hints of cigar box and earthy undertones. On the palate, this is a medium-bodied wine, with softened tannins and notes of dark fruits, spices and a touch of liquorice.
