Tokaj Classic was founded in the town of Mad in 1994 by three classical musicians who wished to make traditional styles of sweet wine using the best modern technology. The 1999 Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos is a blend of 65% Furmint, 30% Harslevelu and 5% Muscat bottled in 2004 after maturation in oak barrels. With 180g/L residual sugar it is incredibly sweet but has brilliantly refreshing acidity throughout.
