Thorne and Daughters is a boutique winery founded in 2012 by John and Tasha Seccombe. ‘Rocking Horse’ is a white blend named after a wooden rocking horse in their home. The wine combines multiple grape varieties to create a wine that captures the essence of the Cape Winelands. The exact composition of the blend may vary from year to year, but it typically includes Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Sémillon, and Chardonnay, among others. Producer note on the 2022 vintage. "A layered and complex nose reveals green pineapple, kumquat, nori, and lime leaf, leading into a nervy, focused palate of citrus, ginger and stone fruit with a long taut, slightly saline finish."
