The Szepsy family has been producing Tokaj wines since the 1500s and 18th generation family member, Istvàn Szepsy, is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most innovative winemakers in Hungary. Szamorodni is a late-harvested style of sweet wine pioneered by Szepsy and is lighter than the Puttonyos wines.
