Established in 1982, St. George Spirits is an artisanal distillery based in Alameda, California. This release is the first legal American absinthe after the U.S. ban was lifted in 2007. Its recipe includes brandy, star anise, mint, wormwood, basil, among other ingredients. Bottled at 60% ABV, it is a punchy spirit, with a strong herbaceous character and overall green leafiness. Best enjoyed with a premium tonic water or in cocktails.
