A blend of 85% corn, 8% wheat, 6% rye and 1% malted barley, Slaughter House is aged in wine barrels sourced from acclaimed Napa Valley winemaker Orin Swift. Vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of sweet oak jump out immediately. The palate brings more vanilla along with a hint of hot pepper, a medium bodied whiskey with good complexity. The finish is lighter and spicier with yet more peppery notes.
