Created in 1994 by Manfred and Elaine Krankl, Sine Qua Non is probably the most famous of all the California cult wineries and is renowned for exceptionally limited quantities of wines made from the classic Rhône Valley varieties. The 2012 Rattrapante Grenache is composed of 84% Grenache, 13% Syrah and 3% Petite Sirah and was aged in French oak for 33 months, of which 27% was new.
