Created in 1994 by Manfred and Elaine Krankl, Sine Qua Non is arguably the most famous of all the California cult wineries and is renowned for exceptionally limited quantities of red and white wines made from the classic Rhône Valley varieties. The Marauder is an unusual release in that is made from a single variety, Syrah, instead of being blended. It was sourced from the Alban, Bien Nacido and Stolpman Vineyards, and was aged for 17 months in new French and American oak. 332 cases were produced.
