Hillside Select is the flagship wine of iconic Napa Valley producer, Shafer Vineyards and is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from 14 rugged vineyard blocks planted on an amphitheatre-shaped piece of land that surrounds the winery. The 2010 is quite simply an astounding release. It is immensely rich, kaleidoscopically complex and immaculately balanced. Full-bodied and voluminous, it never feels heavy and exhibits the hallmark finesse for which this wine is now well-known. The Wine Advocate has awarded this the perfect 100-point score and three separate occasions.
