It was established and managed by the unconventional and multifaceted winemaker Sean Thackrey [1942-2022]. They are renowned for their wines that bear constellation-inspired names, such as the Pleiades non-vintage red blend, Andromeda Pinot Noir, and Orion Syrah. The year 1990 proved to be an exceptional vintage for California, with the majority, if not all, of the AVAs achieving success.
