The Saumur-Champigny Rouge is sourced from 10 parcels of vines between 30 and 90 years of age from around the communes of Chacé, Varrains and Dampierre-sur-Loire. The 2014 release is medium-bodied, succulent and textural, exuding beautiful notes of black fruits, spice and smoke, with an alluring mineral streak throughout. This is anything but an “entry level” wine with huge layers of complexity and depth.
