Joseph Mellot Sancerre Rouge L`Original 2019 is a medium-bodied white wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes in the Sancerre appellation of the Loire Valley. Tracing its history back 500 years, Domaine Joseph Mellot is a large, Sancerre-based domaine managed since 2005 by Catherine Corbeau-Mellot. L`Original Rouge uses Pinot Noir grapes grown on marl-limestone soil and is matured in amphorae. It displays intense notes of raspberry and kirsch on the nose, with fresh red and black fruits following through on the palate. An elegantly structured wine with nice length.
