Domaine Joseph Mellot Sancerre La Grande Châtelaine 2018 is a dry white wine produced from Sauvignon Blanc in the Sancerre appellation of the Loire Valley. The flagship wine of the domaine, this barrel-fermented Sancerre comes from the estate’s oldest vines, planted on caillottes gravel. Long fermentation is followed by maturation in 30% new oak barrels for 20 months. Opulent and textured with notes of citrus, gooseberry and pineapple, along with hints of vanilla and barrel toast.
