Tokaji Essencia is exceptionally rare and astonishingly complex. Made from the very best Aszu grapes that have been raisined by botrytis, it is a highly concentrated, intensely sweet ‘wine’ with an ABV rarely above 2% and a sugar content of 450g/litre. Having required special permission to bottle in magnums, there are just 18 decanters of the Royal Tokaji 2008 in existence and they may never be repeated.
