Situated in the small village of Fritzens, Rochelt is an Austrian producer of some of the finest eau-de-vie in Europe. A family business since its inception in 1989, the distillery is run by Alexander Rainer with the assistance of a small team. For those who wish to dip their toes into the world of fruit brandies, this 4cl bottle of vintage Wachauer Apricot is a brilliant start. The fruit is sourced from the banks of the Danube and only harvested when perfectly ripe. The liquid is double distilled and aged for at least 4 years for maximum flavour.
