Rocca di Frassinello is the fruit of a unique collaboration between Castellare di Castellina and the iconic French producer Domaines Barons de Rothschild-Lafite. The concept was born out of a desire to bring together Castellare’s expertise in cultivating Sangiovese grapes with Lafite’s long standing knowledge of classical French varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The resulting wine has aromas of red berries, plums, liquorice and warm spices. It’s a medium-bodied wine, with a velvety mouthfeel and generous finish.
