Fabio Motta Pievi Rosso 2022 is a full-bodied `Supertuscan` red wine from the Bolgheri sub-region of Tuscany. Fabio Motta is the son-in-law of the hugely respected winemaker Michele Satta who, among his many and various achievements, co-founded of Bolgheri DOC. Having worked under Satta for several years, Fabio Motta founded his own winery in 2009 with the acquisition of 4ha of vines within the Bolgheri DOC. An assemblage of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Sangiovese, Pievi Rosso 2022 is fermented according to grape variety in used French oak barrels before maturation in second and third-use barriques for 12 months. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
