Domaine Ostertag is a much respected winemaker in Alsace renowned for his revolutionary style of winemaking. His estate has been farmed biodynamically since 1997 and he pushes the appellation`s boundaries constantly searching for the ultimate expression of terroir from each of his 75 plots. He uses oak barrels in a Burgundian style for his Pinot varieties but the Riesling is fermented to dryness in stainless steel. This is classic Riesling from the Granc Cru Muenchberg, mineral and crisp lemon citrus with a gorgeous textured palate and racy acidity on the finish.
