The jewel in the crown of the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne collection, the Rare Vintage Cuvées, until his retirement produced by award-winning winemaker Régis Camus. The 2006 release marries 70% Chardonnay, mainly from the Montagne de Reims, with 30% Pinot Noir and undergoes around 10 years lees ageing prior to disgorgement, together with a dosage of around 8.5g/l. Offering up a bouquet of apricot, brioche, vanilla and citrus zest notes together with notes of oriental spices.
