This release hails from the Pym-Rae vineyard, which is now owned by the Tesseron family, who are also the proprietors of the famous Château Pontet-Canet in Bordeaux. The vineyard was acquired from the late actor and comedian Robin Williams, who had named the vineyard after his children. The wine is a blend of Bordeaux grape varieties, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The 2018 vintage in Napa was marked by a long, steady growing season, resulting in wines with excellent balance and complexity.
