Situated in Gueux, a mere 10 kilometers west of Reims in the northern Champagne region, Jérôme Prévost`s Les Béguines spans 2.2 hectares. This vineyard, passed down from Jérôme`s grandmother, was planted in the 1960s using an ancient, slow-growing rootstock that encourages deep-rooted growth and yields. Nearly 100% of the vines in Les Béguines are dedicated to Pinot Meunier, although a small portion of 10-year-old Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc has been recently planted adjacent to the Pinot Meunier parcel, constituting approximately 6% of the overall blend. The vineyard is managed organically, with soil cultivation practices and yields carefully balanced to maintain optimal conditions.
