The Peter Jakob Kühn estate has been in the family for 230 years. Certified as fully biodynamic in 2004, the utmost of care is taken in their precious vineyards and they are consistently producing some of the finest Riesling in Germany. The southwest-facing Hallgartener Hendelberg is a VDP Erste Lage vineyard with very steep slopes and many pockets of Devon slate. This wonderful site produces beautifully aromatic and complex wines, with wonderfully bright acidity. Still typically tight and tensile in youth, this will benefit greatly from further bottle age.
