Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé 2012 is a vintage rosé Champagne from the house of Perrier-Jouët. First released in 1978, the Belle Époque Rosé is only produced in exceptionally good years and in very limited quantities. The 2012 is a blend of 45% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier, wholly from Grand Cru vineyards. It was aged on the lees for six years prior to disgorgement with 8g/l dosage. "Yes another very pale salmon-pink wine. Has the provençal mode swept through Champagne? Nicely integrated fruit and an overall impression of gentle softness. Very charming even if not amazingly persistent. The only fault of this wine is its price. But that bottle would sweep anyone off their feet… More developed and much more floral (autosuggestion?) than the Bollinger, Grande Année 2012. A gentle caress of a champagne."
