Operating independently from his family`s business, Pepe Raventós engages in micro-vinification from four small plots on the Raventós estate. Each vineyard covers less than 2 hectares and is planted with old-vine, indigenous varieties Xarel-lo and Bastard Negre. Describing his eponymous `garage` wines, Vins Pepe Raventós, Pepe Raventós states, "This is the project of my dreams." These wines, he emphasizes, "speak directly to your soul". This particular still wine possesses a rounded, saline, and fresh character. The Xare-lo imparts abundant character, offering a broad spectrum of aromatic nuances, including aniseed, Mediterranean herbs, and a hint of smokiness. The structured palate exhibits good tension and concludes with a flinty finish.
