Château Pédesclaux is a Fifth Growth estate in the Pauillac appellation, currently owned by the Lorenzetti family. The 2010 Grand Vin is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, aged for 14 months in oak barrels [60% new]. The nose suggests aromas of blackberries with some cassis and hints of black plums. The palate carries black cherries, blueberries, espresso and hints of liquorice, leading to a slightly sweet finish.
