A full-bodied, barrel-fermented dry white wine produced from the Xarel-lo grape variety in the Penedès region of Catalonia. Produced from biodynamically farmed vines aged more than 70 years old, Parés Baltà`s Electio undergoes very short skin contact before fermentation in French and Hungarian oak casks. The wine is then matured on fine lees for four months with occasional bâtonnage. Concentrated and creamy, yet with a Mediterranean influence and a core of minerality, this is a white wine which also reveals the typicity of the Xarel-lo grape variety, boasting notes of chamomile, white-fleshed stone fruits, hazelnut and dried herbs.
