Origen Raíz is the joint project of two influential families in Mexico, the Saravia family of Durango and the Cortés, who are based in Oaxaca. The families were brought together by their sons, Asis Cortés and Bildo Saravia, through passion for their unique heritage. This exotic mezcal is made with maguey Cenizo that is distilled with deer meat and seasonal fruits. Expect notes of orange peel, apples, nuts, sage, earthy minerality and game. The finish is fairly long and salty.
