Nuits St Georges Aux Murgers Sylvain Cathiard 1999

Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a boutique wine producer situated in the village of Vosne-Romanée. Sylvain’s son Sébastien has been fully in charge since 2011, overseeing their five hectares of vines spread between Vosne-Romanée, Nuit-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny. This release hails from ‘Aux Murgers’, a Premier Cru situated at the northern end of the Nuits-Saint-Georges commune, planted exclusively to Pinot Noir. The 1999 vintage in Burgundy produced wines of good quality with excellent ripeness and balance. The weather conditions throughout the growing season were favourable, leading to healthy grapes and good concentration.
