Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Murgers

Located at the northern edge of the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Aux Murgers (also Les Murgers) is a Premier Cru vineyard site producing seductively dark-fruited, spicy Pinot Noirs with considerable ageing potential. With the Premier Cru of Aux Chaignots situated just above, Aux Murgers lies close to the border with Vosne, and some observers believe the vineyard carries some of that appellation’s signature elegance.
Historically somewhat overlooked, Aux Murgers is becoming one of the more sought-after Nuits Premiers Crus among Burgundy Pinot aficionados. This is largely thanks to some of the focus the vineyard now enjoys among leading Vosne producers – and the opulent yet accessible Aux Murgers wines they are making. Key producers with holdings in this vineyard include Domaine Méo-Camuzet, Domaine Sylvain Cathiard and Domaine Cecile Tremblay.
